Guidelines for cyber media used

Freedom of speech, freedom of expression, and freedom of the press are fundamental human rights protected by Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the UN.

The existence of digital media in Indonesia is also a part of freedom of speech, freedom of expression, and freedom of the press.

Digital media possesses unique characteristics that require guidelines to ensure its management is conducted professionally, fulfilling its functions, rights, and obligations in accordance with Law Number 40 of 1999 concerning the Press and the Journalistic Code of Ethics.

Therefore, the Press Council, along with press organizations, digital media managers, and the public, collaboratively formulate guidelines.
